Juvenile Court Process and School Discipline Hearings

It’s overwhelming when your child is accused of committing a criminal offense. The juvenile process is completely different from the adult criminal justice system. Being accused of committing a criminal offense as a child is no less serious, though. There are school disciplinary hearings in addition to the criminal process. While these are separate hearing, they overlap. Do not try to handle these school hearings on your own. It is important to have a lawyer who handles both the criminal process and the school disciplinary process. It is important to know what you have to do and answer and what you do not have to do nor answer. Your child still has constitutional rights.
